The adventures of Barbara (BR)

I am so new to this group that it hurts. But I have 12 Barred Rock girls who are still very young and get "hysterical" just as Barbara speaks of, everytime I go out. I can't wait to be able to see their personalities evolve, I had Barred Rocks years ago and now that I am ready for chickee-poos in my life again...it was straight for Barred Rocks. I have been unable to read all the posts regarding Barbara...but I will get through all her stories.

Seriously, you should consider publishing something....Remember the book "The Egg and I" (hysterically funny). Also as a young girl I read a book about two hens and their stories...I can't remember the title though...it was one of my favorites though. The hens were not the best of friends (in fact one snubbed the other). They ended up starting their own familes and in the long run became friends. It was a great book. I think there is potential here for Barbara to have this same fame. Don't tell you are writing it....maybe it won't go to her head.

Do you still have love children of Barbara and Leroy? We have 12 young girls (about 8 weeks old). I would not mind a couple more girls...but would really like a little boy for future romancing. I am in WA state. I could send photos and let you know how he (or them) were doing with their new life in my back yard.

You must have a love child, I have one and he is just the greatest Rooster, he is still a little young but tries so hard to be a great rooster, I love him so much.

Hi Chillin with My Peeps: I pm Barbara's person. I need to make sure The 12 Girl's dowries are adequate and I am trying to confirm an arranged marriage for them. Of course, if this works out, this poor boy is going to have 12 wives....wow....he may be a bit brow beat don'tcha think? Would this be to over whelming for one young man?

I have 14 girls and one roo so it is okay he hangs with the babies and bantam;s and my one Americauna I think he would be okay he looks like mine he is really handsome just remember he is young yet and will need a few more months to become a full rooster, ranging hormones right now. only think on mine little brain is romance lol

Well, I just showed how new I am...I used your "title/status" as your name....Sorry Schellie69...My girls are very young (only about 8 weeks old)...would I need to keep them separated? Could a young hubby-to-be be aggressive now? I have the ability to keep them separated...so curious best way to go. I have not heard back from Barbara's person...so we will see if The Girl's dowery is enough (lol) or for that matter if there are any suitors still available.

you should try to keep them separated for 30 days just to make sure all is well with him and does not carry anything, I tried but mine escaped the pen and was free ranging and living with his girls within a week of getting here, I am sure she will get back to you she is a little busy but, she always answers PM's and I understand about the name thing it can get a little confusing he should be okay with the girls. I love my love child, you will have to pay for shipping but it was worth it for him he is great rooster and I love hearing his crow, and his little dance now he is a bantam but that does not stop him lol I hope you get a love child they are great.
