I have spent a couple of days enjoying the exploits of Barbara. I agree that you need to write a book with your stories of her........just not a children's book, it would hurt Leroy's feeling to be minimized.

I would LOVE to see a picture of Walter!

I have come to realize that our rooster, who is wonderful, reminds me of Bob. (He might be able to stand in for Bob-since he looks just like him-only at his age....well.... he needs blue diamond pills in feed to keep up with his hen duties. The new ladies loved him and the feeling was mutual. The new gals were in a hurry to break free of the young chick side of the fence and go be his ladies. This left our one young and mean EE Roo the two SLW....they were all mostly black and white so guess they figured he was one of them since the old roo is reddish. But turns out a mean roo makes for good stew so they have had to adapt....)

The Chicken Taming Association Meeting

Chickenboy came to visit Friday night. He said it was time for another Chicken Taming Association meeting (also known as the CTA). He wrote up a report from the last CTA meeting two weeks ago at Fowlfest. Chickenboy has recruited another CTA member (besides the Chickendads, who are the treasurers). The new member is Logan, the 5 year old son of BYCer Shelley1969. The meeting with Logan consisted of a tour of the poultry show, followed by refreshments and a follow up at the playground. Apparently it was quite a successful meeting.

Mrs. Chickendad was somewhat leery of serving the dinner she had started preparing when she learned of Chickenboy’s imminent arrival. It was Ameraucana and Dumplings. Evil Silver Ameraucana Rooster and Dumplings, to be specific. Chickenboy did not ask too many questions, so she was not put on the spot. It was more like “don’t ask, don’t tell”. Chickenboy enthusiastically consumed the A&D, as well as three helpings of fresh broccoli.

The CTA was called to order the next morning over breakfast. Chickenboy next started taming chickens. Here he is with Walter’s son Willie, and Leroy with the Tattered Wattles. Chickenboy felt that Leroy needed extra attention after being thrown over by Barbara for the Handsome Bob. It does need to be pointed out to Barbara that Leroy did not make a bald spot on her back. Being older than Bob, he has learned the art of finesse, whereas Bob’s attitude is “Brace yourself, girls!!”

maybe leroy needs to reintroduce himself to barbara, with all his sophistication, she should she advantages of his devotion!

I bet Barbara will come around. Maybe she is playing "the field" and hard to get to make Leroy jealous....as he is her "real love" and she felt jilted since he had been "fraterinizing" with the Ameracana (spelling?) girls.

BTW, Tyson and Hannah are beautiful and doing well.
