Here are two of my pieds, the oldest two. Took these pics today. Age 4 months

This is Rain my pure chinese pied with Hail my white chinese gosling.


And Stormy my Brown chinese x Tufted Roman pied


I call them the Weather Front Trio lol hatched out in really bad storm in the spring and then named after what we got from it lol
All three saying "Did you call us momma?"

Thanks! I have 6 pieds altogether, 2 clean necked(what i call them) pieds and 3 stripe neck like Rain and then Stormy is the odd ball not really sure what to call her shes not clean neck or striped she has spots up her front.
I love all my geese but i like these a little more, just dont tell my others i said that lol

Hello 8GeeseALaying, i actually just posted pics of my geese today to find out if anyone had seen any like it before because i havnt and i was wanting another and couldnt find any pics of any similar, and someone told me you have some similar.. yours are beautiful! I actually gave one to my mom last hatch that looks similar to yours, but mine even from the same hatch seems like the colors mixed and didnt so much band? What color chinese is your mom and dad to the pieds if you dont mind me asking?

Hi Goosecrazy! Thank you for the compliment on my goslings. For the 5 purebreds Their father is a brown chinese and their mother is white. It is also that way for my crossbred pied tufted. Though i was told this is a sex linked cross i still beleive that i have 3 female and 3 male. My 5 pure chinese pied have the brown chinese base color but my crossbreed is grey. I plan to keep going with this color and regardless of gender i have possible mates already lined up. This was an experiment to get pied goslings and right out of the gate i was blessed with the two above, second hatch gave me my other 4. It was a goal met for me. My next step is to breed for more white on them.
I would love to see you pics, you can post them here since they are chinese as well.

Its hard to tell with that picture. Is there anyway that you could get a better pic more close up?
How old are they? Are they honking yet? If so which one has the higher shrieking like honk? Which has the larger knob?

Thanks for the info 8geese, my crosses have a brown chinese father and a white chinese mother also, i just wasnt sure if this was a normal outcome of crossing the two colors.. These are my babies!

Goosecrazy, your geese are gorgeous! This past spring, I attempted to cross my two white African geese with brown African ganders, hoping to get offspring that look like your geese, but only got browns with a touch of white markings.
