The African and Chinese goose thread!!

Pics
Thanks for the info 8geese, my crosses have a brown chinese father and a white chinese mother also, i just wasnt sure if this was a normal outcome of crossing the two colors.. These are my babies!
You have dilute grey those are supposed to be rare to get. I think i had two that never made it out of the egg, ive never seen any dilutes as goslings so im not 100% that i had any. There is a pic of a dilute grey african gander on the genectics thread. Coloring is similar to yours.

Thanks Utah i really think they are beautiful too, and we had actually gotten some brown with a white markings also, these actually started off very yellow, we figured they would probably be white like their mom, but then they kinda developed a little color but mixed not markings. Have you seen any with color like these before im very curious to know why they turned out like this and the others just with white markings? And if buy chance i found another like this to breed back to them would they keep this color or would it very? Sorry lots of questions, just very curious lol

I'm not sure. It seems to show up more when crossing grey with white, like Toulouse gander with white goose. I was also told that a white father covering a brown mother could throw white females and dilute grey splash males. There is an African breeder with username JenC who was also doing some color experimenting with white and brown African crossing this past spring. I will pm her to see what colors she wound up hatching.

Thanks i would appreciate it, and sorry 8Gesse didnt see your post at the bottom of the pics..Humm dilute grey.. dont think i have searched for them before, will have to see if i can pull his picture up.. thank you

The lighter colored on has a lower pitch call than the darker one. I am hoping to post a video of them later.

eweaber, very cute geese! No clue what gender they are, but they look like my pair of African/Toulouse crossed ganders.

One looks to have a bigger knob too. Hope you have a pair, they are very pretty. Yep my gander although not African is very high pitched my goose deeper pitch.
