Hello everyone! I wanted to start a thread where you can show off, learn about, or teach others about ameraucanas. I don’t own this breed… yet, but I have 3 eggs in the incubator! Your birds must be true Ameraucanas only! If you are not sure you are welcome to ask!

I currently have white and self blue (lavender) Ameraucanas.
I've had several blue wheatens in the past though.

Easter eggers dont have muffs or beards, plus i think amarucanas lay blue eggs! My black sex link rizo is ALWAYS photobombing!
also sense EE’s are mixes, they could have small muffs and or beards, but its not the same, and usually rare and faint.

How many EEs have you owned? They can have a large beard AND muff. Its not a breed trait, since they are not really a breed. That being said, I have settled with an EE being an EE when they have a blue egg gene somewhere in their somewhat recent background. This can be EExEE or EExanything, both crosses produce EEs. Most EEs that exist are EEs crossed with EEs.

Ameraucanas lay blue eggs, have white skin, have to be in a recongized color (APA), have to have pea combs (cannot have a modified pea), have to have a beard and muff, and have slate colored shanks.

I love my lavender Ameraucanas soo much! Their names are Fluff and Puff and they have the best personalities and are super good with my kids and love to visit me. They fight like sisters and love each other too. I used to be a huge fan of Orpingtons…until I got these cuties! I find every excuse to share pics of them hehe. They’re just the best

Hey all ! I have a young blue rooster and blue hen , I mean correct me if I'm wrong they might not be I am a noob in the chicken world. I also LOVE my EEs they are the cutest chickens. And lay the prettiest eggs as well. AND I just got 13x day old wheaten ameraucanas, and 5 marans same age. To be honest I am not completely sure if they are wheaten, blue wheaten or what, but I can't wait to watch them grow ❤

Well this is a very weird coincidence…. Zoe ended up laying her first egg today. So weird that she laid her egg the day I posted about her
