The price for Ayam Cemani depends upon the quality of the bird. The is true even in Indonesia. To get top dollar, the bird must be 100% black, including the toe nails, tongue/mouth, feathers, skin, legs, comb, wattles. The price is also different for each line.
I haven't sold any of my Cemani because I personally am working to improve my line and build out my flock. My family would love me to sell some as I have about 30 or so laying age Cemani. Any that do not have black toe nails, skin, wattle, comb, tongue, and mouth are culled.
So see it is hard to tell you a correct answer as it depends upon the quality of the birds you are selling. One suggestion would be to just pass on the price you paid for the birds to someone that wants to continue where you are leaving off.
That makes sense too. I know only the best should be sold and what not, I'll see and think about it. Thanks for your input.
