The American Paint Silkie

i have hatched 4 chicks from bought paint silkie eggs 2 are yellow and 2 are greyish colour are these paint silkies

The yellow ones probably are, and the greyish ones could possibly be the white with silver leakage which usually turn out to be nice bright whites. If they dont have spots already, they can still get them later. Sometimes they do, sometimes they dont.

so will they all carry the paint gene
 
Does it matter which is the hen
Paint gene hen to black cock or black hen to paint gene cock

I'm wondering if there has been any progress in getting paint to be a recognized color. Earlier in the thread I think it mentioned 2017 as when that might happen. If there is another place to keep current on the progress let me know.
 
Hi can anyone tell me the sexes of these silkies??.. There are 2 paints totaled ... They are about 6 weeks old ... 1st picture is of bird #1... The other 2 pictures are of bird #2
