While I was away Fridfay, someone came by and helped themselves to two of my Dutch paint pullets. Just though I'd make everyone aware, so if you hear or see someone with paints and they have no way of explaining where they came from, please let me know, Thanks.

Jerry, I am so sorry. The paint community is pretty small at this point. I will surely be on the lookout.

Edited to add:

Paints spots don't change so if you have photos of each of these pullets, all of us should be able to recognize them if we see them. Your post is a reminder to identify each of my paints with good photos. I think I may microchip them too. It's not expensive, not noticeable to a thief but easily traced.

That's craziness! The microchip idea seems like a good one.......where do they put them in chickens?

I am so sorry Jerry, believe me I know the feeling and it is not a pleasant one. As of right now this list is so small of who has paints it should be pretty apparent when this person pops up and does not show up on a sale list from those of us with them. They do not have much for brains, lol

This might seem silly but can we get insurance on our silkies??? I no that if someone stole any or a critter got ahold of one
or whatever it would really cost a pretty penny to relpace them!?!?!?
I would like to no more about the chip too.

Here's a link Jen.... I've learned my lesson and know the first place I'd send the cops with the scanner if any more of my birds disapear. Its a fairly big investment up front with all the chips. Game cams and guard dogs never hurt either.

I don't have paints and don't plan on starting with them either. I have lots of people e-mailing me about my blacks to use for this project and its why I bookmarked this thread. Maybe it wouldn't hurt for me to start saving those e-mails too.
