The American Paint Silkie

This is Spot my paint silkie, so far we think he's a fella based on his personality and slightly large comb. I would love any feedback on him. He is about 12 weeks such a sweet little guy. Has my favorite run of any bird i've ever had..

He is a very cute boy he reminds me of my Zeek.

Zeke is beautiful! Do.you think spot is a boy too? That'd be great! He is such a funny little guy! My husband and I just love him. I hope he turns out as good looking as your zeke! Do you have him.over black hens? That is.my plan but none of my blacks turned out above pet quality.

He looks like pictures I've seen of Columbian Silkies. Doesn't really look like a paint, but he is pretty!

Spot does look like a boy to me but silkies can be tricky. He is very pretty, I'm glad your enjoying him. Zeek has a good personality too. I am getting ready to move him in with some hens one of hem is suppose to be a black but I'm thinking she might be a blue. Here's some more of him he's molting right now and strangely enough his beard all came off! Weird huh, I can see it starting to come back in tho. But he normally has a beard.

Thanks Silkiemomma I sure like him. A frizzled would be cute best of luck finding your black girl. I may need to do get a black too, I wonder how a dark blue would do.

I.have heard about people getting a blue splash and in some cases a red. I am not positive as to how that is obtained. But it would be worth a shot. Let me know what Zeek and your blue hen turn out? I bet they'll be lovely birds!

Thanks. I'm new with Silkies. I have him and 2 of his sisters. One is part silkie and part cochin, she is black so black her feathers look like emeralds. The other is a partridge silkie I think, gold and black mixed in. Hickory looked liked a splash when he was younger, black, white and gray. I can't get over how much he changed in a months time. They are almost 7 months old and got my first egg on Thursday
