I hatched them from hatching eggs.
I'm a newbie trying to decide what to do with them.

They're gorgeous.

They look "Blue Merle" to me- or at least that's what I call the coloring. I just put 6 possibles in the incubator this morning and they are marked "BM".

AFChick,for your Blue Merles are you using a Splash Roo and a Paint Hen or the reverse?

I also have a few Splash/Paints,,,,Yes they have both kinds of feathers


I would like to know if anyone has used these in their programs......Either with the paints or the slashes ....and how its working out

Splash roo over paint hens for now- I have three 7 week old paint cockerels, or at least I *hope* they're cockerels (it's usually the other way around lol).

Thank you for your reply. I think I have a 'surprise' cockerel - purchased as a young paint pullet. I have 2 very nice type splash girls, one is dilute but really beautiful. I think I may keep my boy named Lucy and see what happens.

Blue Merles huh.....Well at least they have a name......I did have regular paints and what I am calling "Ivory Greys" hatch out of this batch too......Do the Ivory greys have a real name and has anybody played with then yet?
