Laufen looked at it curiously. “Huh.” He said. “It feels different. What do I do? Walk?”

Winter frowned at the chattering squirrel in the tree. “Would you get down here?” He barked uselessly.
The squirrel just chattered back.
Winter growled. Might as well follow the coyote track now. Maybe it would lead him to food.
After a couple minutes of sniffing, he found the scent again and began to follow it deeper into the woods.
Shira looked up from the coyote, trying her best not to relive the memory she’d just shared. She pointed her nose into the wind, taking a deep breath and smiling faintly at the forest’s scent. There was the dewy moss and turning leaves, a squirrel somewhere far off, the deer and other creatures, one of which smelled oddly familiar, but Shira couldn’t place it. She thought of all the things in the forest that could be there, and nothing matched up, it smelled like another Dog…or wolf or coyote, something.

Winter was getting closer to the coyote..
But there was.. something else. A faint scent, but a familiar scent.
He raised his head, trying to catch the smell on the breeze..
He stopped. His mind knew it was there, yet he couldn’t see- he barked once, loudly.

“Rockslide……he was swept off the cliff, I managed to dodge most of the boulders.” Shira said, maintaining a serious face.
"That's rough." Macaw replied. "A bad storm on my Pack." Macaw looked down remembering how bad it was and everything he had gone through. He tilted his head up and added, "You're lucky to have escaped unharmed."

Laufen looked at it curiously. “Huh.” He said. “It feels different. What do I do? Walk?”
"You can walk, but don't put any weight on that leg for a few days. It needs to heal some before you put weight on it." Alexander answered. He looked over Laufen's leg one to make sure that he had done everything correct, then he stepped back.

Laufen stood up, lifting himself with his other legs. The pressure of the bandage on his wound felt good. “It’ll get better, right mom?” Laufen said worriedly, setting his paw on the geound without placing any weight on it.

"Yes, it will," she replied, though she herself wasn't sure. She looked at Alexander for reassurance.

"It might take a few weeks, more or less, but it should heal close to new." Alexander said catching Hilina's look. "You will have a scar, but that's it."

“Ooo..” Laufen said. “Then I’ll be all tough looking! Right Rocky?” He said, looking over at his brother.

"You be careful!" Alexander quickly said. "You wouldn't want to cause your leg to take even longer to heal." Alexander said because he was concerned Laufen would try playing rough, and accidentally injure his leg worse.

“I will!” He called back to Alexander.
Suddenly curious, he turned around. “Hey who are you anyway? Your not my dad.”

Alexander smiled, "Please." He wanted to confirm. "It's important." He paused, then replied, "Alexander, I'm an Upper Mid Ranker."
