To keep Order and Breed to Standard?
That would require me to have a pair at least somewhat similar looking which I don't have.

Plus I don't show, and never will so the breed standard doesn't matter to me when it comes to color. If my araucanas have tufts, rumplessness and lay blue eggs, that's all I want. It's also nice to be able to tell my 4 boys and 5 gals all apart without needing bandings, plus the mixed colors are just gorgeous

Hello @nicalandia and all you other genetics savvy folks!
Update on my shipped egg Silkie chicks.

5 and a half weeks old now:

“Porcelain” from a buff/porcelain father and porcelain mother:

“Crele” per the breeder. I originally thought she was black based but appears to be blue based. Per the breeder she does have some blue based birds in her “Crele” project pen.

Any thoughts on what coloring these two have? Other than the base color (lavender in the porcelain and blue in the crele) they look very similar to me. Neither one of them were chipmunk patterned at hatch. Photos as 2 day olds:

I Wish I could help. But, I have very difficult time trying to decipher Silkies and their crosses based on their coloring.

Then arent they considered easter eggers like people who breed other color ams together
If that's your school of thought. I don't consider Ameraucanas to be EEs just because they're mixed color, especially when they follow every other part of the standard.

Onto other things, will Two copies of Dunn result in light buff/gold? Or is it just that one copy turns the buff/gold into red?

As you can see from The Fawn Red Sport OEGB. Homozygous Dun/Khaki(I^D/I^D) will not dilute gold as opposed to it's Allelic cousin Dominant White.

Hmm, okay. I have two males that look like they have those grey/lavender feathers I'm seeing on the example birds, but one has buff/gold like my main male and the other has red instead so I was thinking maybe the red one had one copy and the gold had two. I guess it's something else
