Looks silver plus Autosomal red, giving golden color.I’m not entirely sure she’s silver. I could be wrong, but her hackles look goldish to me, like this hen (not my pic):View attachment 3361455

Thank you! As I have come to like the lavenders I got by accident from Cackle Hatchery I thought I would look into the other colors they have. They have silver laced English and I love silver laced so was thinking of getting some. With this I think I will add some to the next order.
Oh thank you!I thought of you when I saw Silver Laced chicks available in a FB group, came to share only to realize you are not in NC
But I thought you might like a link to the group anyway, since several EO breeders are in Tx.

But wouldn't "albino" mean her body is unable to produce any pigment, in skin or feathers?I do suspect that she maybe albino, she lacks skin pigmentation, skin is pretty translucent on the body. I can get pictures of that when she's done molting though.
Plus don't Albino birds still have red eyes? But wouldn't "albino" mean her body is unable to produce any pigment, in skin or feathers?
Assuming that lacing is not just dirt on the feathers, it would be proof that she does produce some pigment.
So either she is not an albino, or "albino" does not mean what I think it means.
Not all Albinos are red eyed, actually. There's been plenty mislabled as leucistic.Plus don't Albino birds still have red eyes?
Partial albinos still have abit of pigmentation. Sex linked imperfect Albinism is a good example of this. Like other mutations, there can be different forms. But wouldn't "albino" mean her body is unable to produce any pigment, in skin or feathers?
