I’ve got an EE hen that appears to have a little bit of mottling on her, just her head and muffs. She wasn’t always like this, it showed up in her last molt, I believe, and she’s five years old. Is this really mottling? And if so, would it be dominant or recessive? I can get better pictures if necessary

Not mottling, some feathers just lose color with age

Nope. Might be the son of the red headed khaki, and/or half brother. Could even be full brother. He's the new main male once I seperate my normal duckwings out into their own section since the flock master I've had is just getting too old for dealing with other males

How likely will the Laughing trait of a laughing chicken pass on to their offspring, when crossed to different chicken?
My dad's Turkey killed one of our laughing chicken pullets this time, so gonna hatch a few eggs. The white one was squished.

1st. That Darned Turkey needs to go NOW.

2nd. Crowing as a trait seems to be passed along by Autosomal inheritance. The F1 roosters should crow intermediately.

One of my neighbor has 3 CCL, 2 EEs and a Black Sexlink here in Riverton Utah. They seem to do just fine in the Cold. I have not been able to speak with him yet.

I'll try to convince my dad to stop cutting wood for his friends for a day, to help me with that. Firewood is all the sudden the main priority right now in his brain.
Only problem is he only get two days off of work.
