I wish I had Saipans. My order with the hatchery was a flop this year. They had a bad hatch.

The Old Blood Reza I found. They're selling 6 eggs, for $250, + $28 shipping. That's a bit much for eggs.
My Malays were just as expensive.

I had those Old Blood Extreme Aseels, they are Extreme indeed. Very powerful birds Very Expensive Birds, but I could not make them work because the line I had was very close and suffering from inbreeding depression. I also lacked the space required. I would say that they are not for beginners, but you have the knowledge, the patience and the resources to keep at the very minimum two breeding pairs(separate of course)

I just need pens, but can't build any if I'm given tons of stuff to do in one day of each day.

Currently watching my Malay boy with fancy tail. Making sure I don't need to separate him. He's being very frisky, & began crowing already.

I am curious on your opinion on this guys colour genetics.

When I adopted him I thought he was a silver partridge. Afterwards I’ve noticed his lacing, so I’m assuming someone has had a mixed colour pen including a silver laced bird. I’m also wondering if he’s S/s+ with leakage for is something else happening with the cream colour on his hackle and wings.

I was wanting to use him to introduce the frizzle gene to salmon Faverolles and not work too hard to get back to the salmon colouring!

With the frizzle side, I understand about the incomplete dominance and importance to retain smooth feathers in the lines. However, can you tell by phenotype if the fm gene might be present? Or only by test breeding?

Thank you so much. His chest lacing and pale colouring on his wings confused me. The combination of his short stature, awkward quarantine cage and flightiness had made it challenging to examine his colouring with a physical examination.

I’ve since had a closer look at the standard for birchen Pekin/Cochin bantam and I see I didn’t absorb that information.

Hi. I have 2 pilgrim geese. (gander and goose) they are 2.5 years old now. I would like to let them hatch goslings but I'm afraid my geese might be siblings born of siblings, I do not know for sure.. I bought them and one other with them from a local breeder who has now disappeared, so I can't question him. This third gosling had gray pilgrim coloring so it was assumed he was a female, but he was very large, and aggressive. After 10 months I found out for certain that he was a male and rehomed him. This makes us think that the breeder was not good and made mistakes. If I let my geese hatch eggs, what are the chances they might be fine? Is it too risky? It's possible they aren't siblings, I wish I knew.
