Good day, While the Blue Egger from Asia and South America have different mutation(genetically mapped already), Surprisingly enough they are allelic mutations of each other. Both Caused by the same retrovirus insertion on the same allele but on a different but very close section of the allele, hence they are allelic to each other.
For example.
South American Oocyan mutation is O the wildtype is o+. The mutation found on Asia has not been officially designated a mutation. So I tentatively propose giving it the O^a
o+/o+ = no-blue eggs
O/o+ = Light/faded blue
O/O = Blue
O^a/o+ = Light/faded blue
O/O^a = Blue
