The Authentic Scavenger Hunt

"Until what age do you cal a chick chick? And at what age do you normally say pullet?"

For me, "MyLittleEmbros" are what I call fertile eggs, I call chicks baby chickens from hatch up to 7wks old. From there up to lay I call the females pullets, after lay, hens!
Nor sure if it's right but that's what I call it.
I don't call anyone roos or pullets until i know gender

There's an actual age for each of those (pullets either stop at 6 months or a year, I forget which and don't feel like looking it up right now)

I call them chicks until I know the sex (sexed chicks don't count because I've had several male pullets that way). Once I'm confident of their sex (excluding silkies and polish because I have silkies I'm not sure about still and had a pullet polish I was confident about turn male at about 10 weeks), then I call them pullets or cockerels. Once they look about full grown physically, I call them hens and cocks/roosters
