What are cecals?

They are often confused with diarrhea in chicks, but are normal. They're the really stinky ones that come out every few poops. They're smelly, sticky, and flies love them!

Until what age do you cal a chick chick? And at what age do you normally say pullet?

I call them chicks until I can tell gender. I don't think they officially earn their pullet/cockerel titles until 6 m.o. though. (Usually when they reach sexual maturity)
Males are cockerels until they are 1 year old, and then they're cocks/roosters/cockbirds.
Females over a year are hens, under a year are pullets.
