Next: a crested bird

I had to look this up because I couldn’t believe pigeons are poultry. Nobody eats pigeons in my country. They are kept for sports or for show/ fun in cages . We also have lots of pigeon’s in the wild.

But you are right . People in e.g. France eat pigeons. And a few farmers keep them for their meat in France too. Therefore they are poultry according to Wikipedia.

I really never ever heard of people keeping pigeons in my country for the meat. So I honestly thought pigeons belonged to the group of domesticated birds like parrots and canaries.
In the US, "squab" - a fancy name for four-week-old pigeon chicks - used to be a big thing on fancy menus. Apparently, if you eat them before they learn to fly, the meat is really tender ... not that I'd ever be willing to try it. It just seems plainly cruel to me!
I don't think I could ever eat pigeon, anyway. I'm too used to seeing the flying garbage disposals we have around here - both in the barn and on every city street. My nephews call them "sky rats!"

Its a nice frizzle, but pigeons are birds, and not poultry related.
Unless you have a pic with a pigeon on a coop/run or together with some kind of poultry, this is not allowed in the hunt.
Oops, forgot it had to be so specifically poultry.

I have read that pigeons aren't poultry- something to do with not having a gullbladder?

It seems that pigeons are poultry. If you read all the comments and replies, you find more info about people eating them.

Next a Blue Silkie next to a splash Silkie
This next hunt one seems too difficult. ->
Next a Blue Silkie or a splash Silkie. Or any other blue next to a splash chicken.

People in the US also eat dove without thinking twice about it, but pigeons and doves are the same thing. English is one of the few languages that distinguishes dove from pigeon.

If you wait another 30 minutes. The time limit passes. You can post you’re pic then and make a new hunt. :caf
