At the risk of upsetting a dog owner or three, Silkies are the Cocker Spaniels of the chicken world ... soft, sweet and pretty ... but dumb as the proverbial rock. Still, we keep them around, mainly because they are, well, sweet, soft and pretty. And I do know that of which I speak ... I have both!That’s my thought about Silkies. Silkies are dumb, until it comes to trying to be broody.
