The babies are here

I’d just keep an eye on that for now. See how the wing looks next few days and get a straight shot pointing at back end.
Back shot. Not that he would hold still.

@Miss Lydia thank you for the advise. I patiently waited and eventually he was able to start tucking the lower part and feathers under. No more wonky wing. My moms sad because that was the way she could tell at least one of them apart.

So adorable! I'm sure you know that geese love to chew and gnaw on everything-my first two geese (both ganders) chewed all the brake light wires under our pick up truck and my husband had to fix everything-he wasn't happy with that! I'm very careful to keep all types of indigestible things away from them like plastics, rubber, etc. A neighbor down the road said her geese chewed on plastic hay strings, got filled up with the plastic and died because they were unable to eat-I'm pretty sure there are many stories out there like that. Please keep those pictures coming-I will never tire of seeing goslings

Brake wires, yikes. Another reminder that they are staying in the yard. There is baling twine in the yard that I keep finding but overall their in a yard that is pretty child or goose proof. I have a large dog so all her toys and balls are large and hopefully not swallowable. I do have a six year old so pick up is a constant chore. But thank you for the reminder to be observant.

Well they are five weeks old today. I can't believe how big they are getting. They got a large kiddie pool yesterday and loved it. I still need to paint the new house, but there are priorities I.e. Got to have a pool party first.

It's still getting down to 40 degrees at night and they have a lot of feathers but probably not enough to sleep outside. So every night we all walk single file into our night brooder box to sleep. I love the cool nights in northern Idaho, but wish it was 50's at night so they could sleep outside.

Why stand in the dewy grass when you can sit on the throne. Levi won’t let the girls up.

They are so pretty. I bet they’d be fine outside at 5 weeks as long as they didn’t have a cold wind blowing over them. But always up to what you feel comfortable with. I bet they love their new pool.
