The bad thing about this BYC section: An Observation

I just recently got my first egg form my 15 week old pullets now I am getting 4 per day out of my 21 chickens. I got my chickens same day with same hatch day, same breed, as my friends and hers are not even squatting yet. so yeah I keep telling her all chickens are different and mature at different times. She too thought something was wrong with her chickens, so I brought on her on this site and showed her a bunch of different posts on egg laying. she is much more calm now!! But still anxiously waiting...lol

I agree it's like wishing that your toddler would just hurry up and learn to wipe. Problem is, around that corner you are wishing your teenager was a toddler again when life was easier and they needed you. Just enjoy this phase of the chicks life. The next phase will come soon enough! My chicks are 5 weeks old tomorrow and I'm enjoying them immensely!
