Jay chuckled darkly "Sagemint, who has claimed for so long to be the 'good' herd... is really no better then us."

Jay looked most pleased, but also slightly worried about Sitka. "How interesting..."

Jay wasn't convinced, Lightning hated Sitka because of her father. That might be enough. However, he showed none of this "I know."

Dark Falls said nothing, although her ears kept flicking as if there was something lodged in them.

Sitka came back from the stream to see Race and the rest of the patrol return, battered and bloody "What happened?" She exclaimed, running up to them and Wind.

"Ambush." Race coughed. He almost toppled over from loss of blood and exhaustion.
