"Don't get your hopes up, sparky." Little Cloud appeared, coming from the battle. "Your old herd doesn't care about you. Night Stalker is their new lead stallion."

Jay looked surprised for a moment, then his expression smoothed "My herd is not like yours, Wind. The members are all equally as driven for power as I am. I imagine Night Stalker was just waiting for an excuse to take control. Though it shouldn't be too hard to get it back..." He went on thoughtfully.

"Plenty hard with broken legs." Little Cloud smirked darkly.

"Bones heal" He replied dismissivly "Even faster when you have a twoleg vet looking after you"

"Not if your brain is exposed." She grinned and walked away.

"Ahh, but my brain has always been just fine."
