My blue pullet is a big "husky" girl for a bantam so that may have something to do with her no laying yet. (not knocking it though cause her conformation is great

Mine do not seem to like the heat either. Heck, what am I talking about, I don't like this heat we have been having. We are currently at 102. UGH!!!

Ha, it's 108 here...it has been up in the 117's during the last few weeks...

Yep, that is what my chickens think, too! I've lost close to 30ish to the heat so far and bunches more are ailing.

Really the only things that are laying are the Guineas, and two of my Light Sussex girls.

Oh that is awful!!!

I am so thankful that I have only lost one this year. It went from 80 to 105 in 24hrs and he had gotten heat stroke last year.
 
Sure wish I was going, I would be bringing several colors out. Will definitely be ready with some nice stock the next time it comes around!
