Our 4H Club held a "Hamburger Fundraiser" yesterday at at the grand opening of the Atwoods Farm & Ranch Store. Atwoods advertised a Hamburger and drink for $1. We sold over 1300 hamburgers! All proceeds went to the our 4H club!

We took a display of Orpingtons: Buff, Black, Blue, Self Blue and Gold Laced in large fowl. Buff, Black and Splash in bantams. Folks were so excited to see them.

We also raffled off a dozen BBS Orp Bantam eggs. The winner has no incubator, so we will be hatching them for her. She is from Pine Bluff, Arkansas. Hoping for a great hatch! I have invited her to join us here.

Did you ever figure out what they were exactly?

Well, the hatchery gave me a credit for my little mystery chicks. (Photos on page 76).
As their feathers grow in, my little chicks have reticulated black/buff all over them - except on their chest. Even their heads have little black feathers coming in! They are much smaller than our BR chicks, so I think they are bantams.
I was really excited about having some BOBs... But, the anticipation of not knowing what these healthy little peeps will grow into is fun, too!
I sincerely appreciate the excellent customer service I have received from Purely Poultry & Ideal.

I already shared this in the Orp thread but thought I would share with fellow bantam orp lovers as well.
