The BANTAM ORPINGTON Thread

Pics
Seller did list the new auction with their own pictures of the Faverolles. There is a different picture of the Blue Orpingtons on their other auction so I can not vouch if it is theirs or are they one of our BYCer's photos.

Well, the hatchery gave me a credit for my little mystery chicks. (Photos on page 76).

As their feathers grow in, my little chicks have reticulated black/buff all over them - except on their chest. Even their heads have little black feathers coming in! They are much smaller than our BR chicks, so I think they are bantams.

I was really excited about having some BOBs... But, the anticipation of not knowing what these healthy little peeps will grow into is fun, too!

I sincerely appreciate the excellent customer service I have received from Purely Poultry & Ideal.

Well, if nothing else, they're cute little buggers! Keep posting pics as they grow--I think we're all dying of curiosity!

Glad to hear they were willing to work with you. I'm sure they are some sort of cross but I bet cute never the less.

I have my first few buffs of the season in the incubator now from my show stock.

My mother just got my son 19 bantam buff orpingtons this week. She ordered them and they came in Wednesday. She doesn't spoil him or anything. He is so happy with them. I can't wait to see how they turn out to be like. He has one loney cockerel from HenThymes that needs some girls.

Sweet! Hopefully your son get some good birds out of those, where did she get them from?

Thought I would share an updated picture of my oldest cuckoo's. I have four in the older brooder and believe it there are three boys and only one girl!! I just hatched another one yesterday and yeah I think it's a boy too.

The good thing is I am going to grow the boys out and keep the smallest/typiest to cross with the pullet.
