The Belly Fat Cure

i just want to give up soda cold turkey. there is a really good diet where you gradually stop eating white things like rice, bread, potatoes, things like that and it is suposed to be really good. if i could eat fresh tomatoes only for a couple months i would i love tomatoes.

Ewesheep you need to get the Belly Fat Cure Book by Jorge Cruise. It is a easy read and has everything to make life simple in it.

I drink coffee in the morning and a bottle of water. I have ezekiel cereal with blueberries or Uncle Sam. I use the Blue Diamond Almond Breeze Vanilla Milk that is 40 calories. Taste great in cereal with a pack of Stevia. This is all in the book. After reading the book I never wantProcessed Sugar in my diet again. No induction phase on this eating program. I also eat eggs cheeze and bacon for breakfast with either ezekiel bread that is sugar free and high fiber or a high fiber sugar free tortilla or two. The ones I use only have 1 serving of Carb for two. What ever strikes me that I want. There are also named foods you can get out if you can't be home to eat.

I have a snack in the mornings like Walnuts or cheeze stick or Hebrew national 45 calorie weiener.

Lunch can vary. I usually eat a salad with grilled chicken and tomatoes and a few bell peppers. I use Avocado as my dressing most of the time.
I usually have Sobe Lifewater 0 that has vitamins in it for my evening snack. It has 1 carb. I
Sometimes I have a few tortillas and salsa or some type of cheese and celeery. There are lots of options.
At supper i either have steak or chicken. some type of good veggie and maybe a tortilla or bread. I drink tea with Stevia or make a glass of lemonade with stevia. It has been very easy. My DH likes it too and he is losing weight. First time he hasn't lost more than me. Ha ha

I have that book as well. The meals are good and the diet is definitely "doable". DH and I both lost pounds with it. It's by the writers of Prevention Magazine.

Hey bama--any updates? I went to the doctor's office today and almost passed out when I saw the scale! I have gained almost 30lbs in the 2.5 years I've had my desk job. I try to eat healthy but I don't exercise enough. I joined Curves last spring and gained 3lbs before they reduced their hours to such that it makes it very impractical for me to go after work (it's in another town, 1/2 hour away)...

I started trying to jog and have lost two jogging partners (one who doesn't really want to lose weight) and the other got preggo...so I'm back on my own...

Yep you lost me at no sugar. I would be so on the floor. I gave up caffeine, sodas, beef, and cereal no problem. I cannot do without my wonderful carbs and sugar. Literally on the floor. I wonder if they have this diet with sugar added lol.

I have lost a total of 22 lbs. now. I went for my cardiology check up yesterday and had my annual Stress test. I did better than I ever have. I have blood work drawn for Cholesterol in the next two weeks and I will let you know how it turned out. My Cardiologist was impressed with my husband and i and ask for the name of the book. My DH has lost 30 lb. He only has 16 to go.
I have been making fabulous spinach salads and chicken enchiladas my own recipes. We eat Grits and eggs and bacon about two mornings a week and sometimes oatmeal with an egg or so.
We don't feel like we are on a diet at all. we are just measuring very well on the Carbs and sugars. No splenda, just Stevia. I did find the Josephs walnut brownies that are sugar free at Publix and you can have 8 for a snack/1 carb serving and they are awesome with coffee. Not craving food. Monday nite we ate by 6pm and decided to fast till the next evening at 6 and we drank a Sobe water and regular water till supper. Then had Grits and eggs and bacon for supper. We have decided we are going to fast one day week because we can. I feel great. My DH is feeling great. We are into our sixth week now. It is amazing how much better you feel in one month.

Okay just wanted to let you know I am down 30 lb. Feeling so good. Had my blood work drawn this past week and it was awesome. It was really good. My Triclycerides are normal. My cholesterol was in the normal range. Blood sugar normal Blood pressure was great. I am now off of one BP pill. working on getting off the others. Have tons of energy and eating fabulous food. I actually lost three pounds from the week of Thanksgiving. I have a nice sugar free cheese cake in the oven as we speak. I highly reccomend this eating plan. It has worked well for my husband and I. he has lost 36 lb. We decided to make a change in our eating habits and it cost lots less for us to eat now. We never feel deprived or like we are on a diet. Of course I still need to lose about 50 more lbs to be satified with where I want to be.

OK, you've convinced me! I am getting the book too. I did South Beach Diet 7 yrs ago and lost 30+ pounds over 6 mo's and kept it off for about a year. And it has slowly crept back on plus a little. But I did feel so good when I did that. But wondered about splenda. I've since switched to Stevia myself. Thanks for sharing your story!
