Not always.
Even with a good market some folks are not good at selling(me).
It's PITA , IMO.
The OE's I sold, the local feed mill actually sold them for me during their chicks days.

I break even on the feed bill with eggs.
But if I were to breed for profit, I'd choose cochins, sebrights, Dutch or seramas. Silkies are kinda passe, they're pretty easy to find.

Using broodies is not the way to go, unreliable and taking day olds from a broody is not a great idea unless you leave her a few.

I love my Incuview, have read a lot of good things about the Nuture right 360 ,
but both are relatively small.

Nature right is good, but still rather expensive and it will take a while to make a profit after buying it

I know in our area people have been wanting Tolbunt Polish in particular. Straight run chicks will sell between 39 and 59 online. I hatched and had one extra and someone snapped it up immediately for 25.

Do you know where I can get a decent flock of Tolbunt Polish?
I have read up on them and I am very interested in keeping them, even if they do not make me a profit.
