The Broody Duck Thread for 2014

Big bowl of peas aren't even doing the trick lol ugh hopefully they come around soon. They are so tempted to go eat them too but won't lol

Nope. Noticed yest afternoon when I went to feed them again all their morning food was still there. This morning went out and food bowls still had food in them. They didn't run out of their house this morning either. They're acting normal but not coming out to eat like they normally do. So idk???? I took blanket off but they still aren't coming out
Mine come outside no matter the temps but day before yesterday when the wind was really blowing they didn't eat much yesterday even at 2* they came out and ate but then all laid around on their feet and legs to conserve energy. I hope they [yours] come out and eat today they will need that extra energy for tonight when it hits us again.

It's 35 right now, have had these temps before and they would be out swimming. But that first night it was so windy it was slamming doors in their run n house so prob just a combo of things, they need to just get over it lol

I just forced them out into the run where it's sunny and nice. The min they got past the door of their house (which they were acting like it wasn't even open) they went running for food. And now swimming. Smh crazy ducks....

In their lil duckie minds they must have still seen that evil blanket lol

Very very little minds obviously lol! their door was never covered up at night or anything. Who knows with ducks apparently...who knows smh

I also noticed one of the white girls (3 months old) kinda cranky this morning was going back n forth sitting where the mommas lay their eggs (they are still laying pretty much daily) I know she's still too young but is it a sign that she will lay soon??? Think I read 4months they start to lay eggs?
