They sure are pretty, and 8 is a nice number.

Question: I have another muscovy that has decided to go broody—under a car (it never moves). I already have one under my shed—though she's close to the 35 day mark. Should I gather up the duck and the eggs and put her in a blocked off part of the pen away from the other ducks. I've never had ducks try this broody stuff so much. I take the eggs out of the pen daily, but eventually one decides to lay elsewhere and then to stop coming back to the pen at night. Is it best to pen up the wanderer and let her sit in a separate part of the pen? I'm thinking if another does this, they can brood together, right? (Share the pen, I mean.)

Question: eggs are do to hatch in a few days and when i was feeding and watering mama, i noticed an egg was out of the dog house, like 5ft away. Is there any reason she would do this and should i leave it out or put it back in with her? Also, when I peeked in at her, 1 of the eggs was real dark, almost black, is it dead? Thanks
