Y'know, I'm not here to butt into anything or make controversy, but I've always found it really interesting people have been so adamant about giving their rabbits daily greens. I've never given my rabbits daily greens, they get them as a treat. They've lived on unlimited timothy hay and a quarter cup of pellets (for 2 rabbits) once a day for years without one issue. They are healthy and happy. I've even owned my one rabbit for 8 years, my other I've had since she was under a year old, so she's been on this diet practically her whole life. I just don't see why rabbits supposedly need greens. Is it something to do with extra nutrients found in them? For extra foliage to promote a better gut and digestive tract? I've never actually researched why.
Nothing against people who do, I've always just been curious about the topic! Perhaps your friend's rabbits were a special case? Or maybe it differs from rabbit to rabbit...
