It is illegal in some countries and I think the dogs there look so much prettier with natural tails and ears ever seen an Aussie with a full tail!? It is a gorgeous thing.

Rotties and dobermans look better not touched. Dobbies are so cute with ears and a tail

I have a Yorkie with a.docked tail. Her nickname is bunny tail.
Since Yorkies were bred to hunt mice it was likely that their tails would get hurt and it would be painful and hard to heal. They started docking them to keep them safe.
Now it's more of a tradition for shows and such.

I never buy a dog that’s altered... My dogs are all natural. I have a yorkie Jack russel mix and she looks way better with a full tail. I also have a pit mix. She’s not altered at all

Since when have Yorkers hunted mice??? I’ve never seen anyone have them for that purpose. That’s what a cat is for. Most Yorkies are used an a humans accessory. My mom has a toy yorkie... I truly don’t care for toy dogs. They’re too small and delicate.

My beagle is AKC... I usually prefer mixed dogs... just like my chickens and quail. My cat is a mixed breed too. My parents have all AKC dogs, they’ve never owned a mixed breed.

Okay I know THEY USED TO BE USED for that... Not anymore. We don’t live in the early 1900s anymore

My beagle is AKC... I usually prefer mixed dogs... just like my chickens and quail. My cat is a mixed breed too. My parents have all AKC dogs, they’ve never owned a mixed breed.

I would have adopted a mixed dog but I have allergies and we didn't want to risk it. Health and behavioral issues are common in rescues that was something we didn't want to deal with. And it could be expensive.
Anyways, if I went to a rescue I would come home with all the dogs.

We got smaller dog just because we don't have a very large yard for one to exercise. My dogs will tire after a short walk or fetch.
