Mine was a rescue so... :idunno
All mine are rescues too. Mutts that people wanted to toss away. Either ditched them or had them in CL for free because they weren’t what the owner expected 🙄 all of mine are great. Bet their old owners wouldn’t believe they were the same dogs.

I spend 2+ hours a day on commands and such. I brought all 4 to the vet at one time. Each walked politely with the vet tech. All sat patiently and waited. I got compliments from every animal owner waiting for appointments.

Herd u were talkin smak bout my nubby tail missy. good thing im bein' held bak or id bite u.

But, in all seriousness, about half of all aussies are naturally bobbed, much like corgis. And the way aussies herd is a little different than BCs because they get right up on the animal if you let them. So it's not all that surprising that the breed standard was developed for bobtails/docked tails in some herding breeds. After all, if it got hurt in the field it's a long trip into town, whereas a docked tail is clean and safe.

Not that I actually have strong feelings either way. I wouldn't be sad if it got banned or anything, more like I see the practicality of it when it was developed. I love my little bobtail boy. And he gets along WAY better with other dogs than my other two with full tails.
Didn’t mean to talk smack  hopefully your cutie will forgive me and not bite me! 😂:fl

That makes sense though! And I didn’t realize so many Aussies were naturally bobbed. That’s neat.

I actually love the wiggle butt thing Aussies have going on 😂🤣 they’re so adorable 🥰

But still, Kelpies and Koolies work pretty close too I think and use it as a rudder. Although I think they work mainly with sheep which is probably different than tough cattle or a mean bull or whatever.

I have bunnies!!!!!!!!!!!! 20 :love🐇
I breed Mini Rex's and my sister breeds Holland Lops. I also have a Californian Doe I breed for meat rabbits. We have some rescues as well.
Omg I love mini Rex. I have them from all over states and show and breed! I have at least 25 I think idk. My sister does mini lop! I have silver fox’s for meat rabbits! And I rescue rabbits. We seem to have a very similar rabbitry! 😂
