I read the second AF book yesterday--didn't like. I really, really, feally, liked the name AF though! I wish I'd thought of it first. The book had too much action, never even stopping. I'll read the other books before giving up though.
I liked Percy Jackson! Very entertaining!!! Other than that, I'm not really a fantasy reader. I did read Harry Potter several (five or so) years ago, and wasn't overly enthralled. I like historical fiction, travel books by Richard Halliburton, P.G. Wodehouse Jeeves books, but not romances.

Good grief.

Have you read The Book Thief? It's historical fiction, I read it recently and really enjoyed it.

No, but I've heard of it.

It's a very good book that takes place in Nazi Germany but unlike most books based in the time period, the main character isn't Jewish and never goes to a camp. But one of the oddest parts is that it's narrated by death.
