Reading through the cool journal with Beaker makes me realize how awful it is to lose one of these mascots...such a nice piece of BYC history with all the great entries in his journal...and some of the mascots have entries nearly a year and a half old...PLEASE send them forward!!!

Here is where I know them to have been last:
(maybe this Mascot MIA list will prompt them to return them..PLEASE!!! ...most of these people are active on the forum all the time and that just AMAZES me............)

1. Beaker - arrived at my house yesterday..THANK YOU!!!!!

Great to hear from you Kim!!! I hope the Mascots get sent forward too...I sure hate to lose them with all the travels they have made. Chuck had been around the world..well Oblio took Henry to Paris too, so he is a world traveler too...some of these Mascots have had some really incredible adventures..trips that have sure made me envious!! Lucky clucks most of them!! Please send the Mascots forward folks...again, here is the MIA list...

Scrambled- Since you have everyone's address- maybe you could send a letter to those who had the mascots.. something like " You have had the mascot for 3 times the reasonable amount. Please be a decent person and mail them out TODAY"

So, Popper asked me this morning what all the mascots are doing. He was particularly concerned about Beaker and Pippi (his brother and sister). I was happy to be able to report that Beaker is doing great but it was hard letting him know that Pippi hasn't been seen for a while. He isn't happy and asked to spend the day outside with some of his friends to take his mind off missing them so much...

He is always safe outside with our good ole watch dog close by:

He played with the Nigi's and chickens for a while:

Then he hung out with Carnation. She's banned to the kidding stall until she freshens.. which could be any day now:

She really appreciated his company and almost talked his ear off! (Wait.. do ducks have ears?

)

He had to get approval from momma doe (Christina) to meet her kids:

And, he had a riot playing with the girls - until they started eating his hair:

He'd sure like to see pictures of some other mascots to see what they are doing with their time during this wonderful spring season... HINT! HINT! HINT!

Chirpy!! So awesome of you!!! That Popper is having such an incredible time with his life on the farm there!!! He retired into luxury for sure!!! Thank you so much!!! Your critters are so healthy and happy looking too!!! Thank you!!

Hi ya'll! I would really like to make a serious plea for someone else to take over this effort. I am just plain tired of begging people to move the Mascots along and maybe a clean slate will be more effective. If someone is really serious about taking it over, I would ask the Mods to close this thread and leave it as an archive with all it's great history and the new person make a new list and keep the addresses of the new signees, I will shred the list that I have and send Beaker to the whomever the new Host wants me to so at least there will be one Mascot in motion. Soooooooooo, any takers???????

SE, 2 months ago I would've jumped on this HARD, and been happy to take it over. You've done an awesome job, and you deserve to be a mascot host and not feel like a mascot nag.

But... My life is still a little too chaotic and emotional for me to take on any new projects. We're still healing and processing and going through some growing pains at my house. And since chickens comfort me, I've about adopted more than I can handle (shhh don't tell DH).

I hope someone takes this on. It's such a neat adventure and so much fun!

I'd volunteer....BUT, hee hee,I'm nowhere as nice as you. I'd be sending out the mascot police. I'm not sure if it should be chanced, anyway. A whole bunch of people proved the mascots were a great thing. A few others proved that people can be... words I can't say here.
Maybe Beaker should stay with you until the others are returned. and if it's decided to get going again, everyone should be required to pre-pay the postage, and provide a valid telephone number. if postage is paid, then the mascot is sent with a prepaid label all set to go. Then, if the mascot is in one place too long, ya call the person, tell them to stick the mascot in a box, put the label on. A pickup can be arranged. and if the mascot is not on the mail truck, the mascot police will show up. anyone charged with mascot-napping wil be in T-R-O-U-B-L-E!!
There could be no excuse to not mail them out, then.
