I hope things won't be mucked up too much by it.

Another knife in the back of the economy. It will not reduce pollution but create a revenue stream for the powers that be. It is a pigovian tax.

Apparently 500 companies are going to cop the tax, but at least they've cut fuel out...

I won't go into a long rant. I'll just say I'm against any form of carbon or GHG tax, ANYWHERE. It's like applying a machine gun to an already damaged economy.

It's a good concept but like everything else that starts off good it will end up just costing the common man and putting extra dollars up higher. Trickle up economics as usual.
