THE CHEEPS ALMOST GOT ME!!!

Don't be jealous, even hatch junkies have that "rooster doom" over our heads. I got semi smart and only hatch faverolles so I know what I've got a couple weeks in. I've found out its a whoole lot easier to rehome a cute chick than a teenage rooster. Its the easy way out,but I'll sure take it. ;)
Just love the Faverolles they are autosexed, no guessing. Used to raise & hatch bantam Blue Salmon Faverolles, they were so sweet & docile. Now graduated to standard sized chickens, not afraid of the roosters anymore. Best wishes.

I'm a big fan of them too, though I've not got bantams just LF salmons. They've been the least chickeny acting chickens I've ever had, even the rooster is amazingly nice. :)

Oh my gosh... I went into Wilco (my local farm store) and I heard them calling me... "April" "April" "Pick me!" "Pick me!". I circled those babies for 30 minutes. I almost came home with some chicks. I just got chicks in November!!! These girls aren't laying yet and this by far is the longest wait ever and so why not? Why not more chicks? They are so cute! And fluffy! And I could hand pick the chicks (I got my others in the mail). It took every bit of willpower I had. I walked away guys. I WALKED AWAY! And then I went home and wanted to prank my husband. "Hey babe! So I got some new chicks today." And you know what he said?? "Oh, okay!" :idunnoHe didn't even care. So I told him I was kidding. And now I just want to drive back and get chicks. Someone slap me.
LMAO!!!:lau So ironically, when I first read "Wilco" at the beginning of your post I instantly thought of the Wilco in Puyallup!!! Then turns out, that's the exact one youre talking about!! Yeah, im a huge sucker too and have to willfully stay out of Wilco and Coastals (in Auburn) because I just know ill impulse buy more cutsie chicks!!:jumpy:jumpy:jumpy:jumpy:jumpy:goodpost:

I get tempted everytime I go to TSC to get chicks! They are just stocked up on breeds and really addicting. When I had bought chicks from a hatchery, me and my sister just told my parents we were getting them. Unfortunately they said yes, but I didn't want to ask, probably would of said no.

A local BYCer!!!!!! Whoop! They had silkies and other bantams. Dont go there. It’s dangerous. I may go tomorrow... for... cheeps. I mean feed! Lol.

I was cut off by the wife cause I came home with 14 instead of 10.... that brought our count up to 45 total, full grown and not so. Well 45 isn't a good round number, so last weekend when I wad left unstoopervized, i snuck home with 3 light Brahma and 2 Cornish crosses. 50 is a good round number. .... :D

I think now you have enough that you can actually start sneaking in some more unnoticed, chickens!
