Named PAVLOVA because she was big, white and fluffy when not taking a bath (photo taken in a 46 deg C / 114 deg F heatwave).
(Pavlova's are a traditional Australian sweet dessert made of egg whites & sugar, topped with whipped cream & fruit)

Harriet.....(okay, we think she is a rooster now but I am still holding out hope)

Sweetest chicken, very curious and you never see he/she pick on anyone.....[IMG]

    Oh, I forgot.....he/she is 20 weeks old.

    LOL...second edit: He/she is a barred cochin.

Third edit!!!: I did not follow the directions.....don't know if I need to enter her in the rooster or hen part. If someone actually could tell me which he/she is I would feel like I had won!

Harriet/Harry was an accident. No one notice that we had a little chick with hairy legs for a few days. Once we did we were facinated. My 25 yo daughter, who is special needs, calls Harriet 'Harry Legs', my 9 yo grandaughter called he/she Harry....I have always called he/she Harriet. She is right at 21 weeks old and 'Harriet' is the sweetest chicken....I say she harms none. She really does not. No chest bumping. Always an eye out for the other guy and scoots away quickly. It is like she is aware of everyone around her all the time. No one seems to notice her either. So, I am going with Harriet the HEN.....Barred Cochin...21 weeks and she has always been Hairy It to me from the start. Best 'hen' name....

How she got her name: I hatched her from eggs we got in the mail from MyPetChicken. When she hatched, I was horrified to find that she was hideously deformed. Their curiosity piqued by my screaming, my parents came into the room and played a friendly game of "Which body part is that". Fortunately, this horror of a chicken just had her wing shrink-wrapped onto her head, which made her dry funny and look dumb for the first 3 weeks of her life, but she is healthy and sassy now.
