The chicken run is being BUILT! Couldn't be happier :~)

DH started on the chicken run this weekend, here's what we have built so far

It is 12x14 and we are going to set the coop up in there too.

We have 4 adult birds for this coop and run.

I have an A-frame coop for momma and her 4 chicks for the time being and hope to introduce them to this flock/coop/run when they are older.

We plan on putting metal roofing on soon too.

Are those 2 X 6's? and are they 10 footers? I need a taller run built.. the one I have is 4 ft something and I have to stoop all the time..

Mine is only about 10 X 8... but it is covered. I need that because of the elements here in MI. I also enclose it in the winter with plastic. so they are warmer.

It looks like I nice run... are you going to put anything on the ground or leave it as is.??? I found that sand in the summer is great. easy cleanup.and not so muddy. in the winter I put a thick layer of straw.. for insulation purposes.

It my town the ordinance was changed within the last two years to allow chickens. You might be able to change things in your town as well. The process here was started by a child who already had chickens and wanted to keep them.
