Thanks. I don't know how old Opal is, I just know she hasn't started laying yet. I'll post pics, and yes, she is the sweetest chicken!

Because chickens are tasty, and it's part of the reason that a lot of people keep chickens. We eat some of our chickens...He didn't feel about the chicken the same way the OP does...and that is fine, but there is nothing wrong with him planning on eating one of his own chickens.

She's mine... she's actually really mine.
When I went over there, I told him about Opal and the danger of not keeping an eye out on his flock.
And it turns out... he was going to use Opal for MEAT!!! I hate him. I hate him. But at least I have Opal!

I gave him $10 for Opal
I'll give her a bath, and then do the introductions. I hope Omlette behaves...
