"Well, why show us the tower?" She asked. She bit her tongue to keep from asking the dozens of other questions that were running through her head.

"Maybe because I want to experiment on all of you, watch you all go mad until your minds explode." He unnoticeable eyes glared at her.

Zayden folded his arms getting bored with the subject. "Why don't you tell us what's really up." He groaned.

Rex slowly nodded. "The four dimensions are in serious danger."

"what kind of danger?" Ari asked, leaning against a wall

Jackie listened quietly, watching from her place, holding the wall

Keira looked around curiously, eyes wide with excitement. It's good to finally get out of the miserable house. She looked around at the others, her strawberry blond hair falling in her face. She flicked it away from her face, annoyed. She hated how long her hair was, and yet, she couldn't bring herself to cut it. She shook the thought away and looked around the tower again.

"Yay. more tests." G said more or less to herself, remembering the exams she had been taking in school before she fell into the portal. She looked around the tower. Then she realized something. Crap. She thought, how could i not think of that? She had forgotten her bow.

"I am an X-Sage. Thousands of decades ago there was an old prophecy. It stated that a new species, monsters, would dominate all four dimensions and even the greatest hero's wouldn't be able to stop them. There have been sightings in New York, of monsters. I plan all of us to go there as soon as possible." Rex explained as he leaned against the gray stone wall.

"Why are you bringing us into this?" Arlena replied just loud enough for Rex to make out her words.

"A couple decades afterwards, another part of the prophecy was discovered.... A chosen hero from each dimension will be able to stop the monsters." Rex stood upright.

Zayden pondered Rex's words.. "So, you're saying one of us are the "chosen" ones."

Rex nodded.

Arlena looked at him confused. "But why us?" She asked.

"I have my ways." He replied with a vaguely, irritated tone.

"Do you have any spare weapons we could use? If we are going to be conquering 'monsters that will dominate the four dimensions', I'd like something stronger than my fists." Elijah said. He hadn't brought anything with him when he stepped through the portal. Smooth move. He thought frustrated.

Ari touched her bow and the strap of her quiver. A small smile played over her lips as she listened to the others. She had not gone through the portal unprepared.
