kyda just ignored her, this girl would soon loose hope anyway. after being in here for just two days kyda had lost hope and was just waiting for the inevitable.

Winter pondered the idea while playing with her hair.

kyda looked up as the woman came. "get up, you mutt. its time for dinner." she said and then dragged kyda away. she did the same thing and got some food, but she got bit by a dog and her leg hurt badly he was thrown back into her cell with a bleeding leg and half a bucket of slop meant for pigs. she cradled her injured leg and cried.

"this is what happens when you try to get food!" she said in anger and quickly wrapped her leg up in a shred of her tattered dress.

Winter was brave and didn't cry much, but when she saw Kyda's leg she cried, softly, but she still cried.

after a while kydas leg had numb, it was going to get infected, it was full of dirt. she hobbled over to the window she had and found that some water was dripping, she quickly dumped her food out and let the water drip into it. after about an hour it had enough water to give herself a drink and winter a drink. and maybe enough to clean off her wound. she went over to winter and said, "here drink." offering her the bucket with some water in it.

Winter drank some and left the rest for Kyda. Winter was beginning to think there WAS no hope.

kyda smiled to herself in the darkened room, there was enough water left to clean her wound she took her time and carefully cleaned every millimeter of it, until no water was left. she sat down after putting the bucket back up to collect water over night. she divided her half of food and gave the other half to winter. "don't eat it all, ration it. make sure it lasts long, cause it will be a while till i can get more." kyda said and added the poor food to her pile of food and ate some bread.
