"you miss her terribly, huh?" she said understanding her pain.
"i miss my mom to, but she died when i was 10." she said looking ot winter, "she gave me this ribbon." she said lifting it from her dress. it was dirty but wasn't torn, she ad always took good care of it.
kyda smiled,"its not your fault silly, she just got sick, thats all. " she asid stroking the ribbon with delicate touches.
"Has any one ever escaped?" Winter asked, twirling her hair around her finger.
" well there was this one time when some people from the outside broke out a bunch of kids, but since then they upped the security here. i heard it from a kid that didn't get out when it happened, but then he got taken away. im just hoping they come again before i get shipped off." kyda said with a tinge of hope in her voice.
kyda sat up it was day 3 for her and now she was certain she was never getting out. she went to her door and watched as the guards did their rounds, "excuse me sir, but why are we so dangerous?" she asked one of the guards. she had been watching him and he seemed to be the nicest one. "just turn back around and keep quiet, its for your own good." he said. kyda scoffed, "my own goo? im in a cell with no toilet, and im slowly dying!" she said tears threatening to spill over. "im just a kid, what did i ever do?" she whispered. the guard shook his head and continued walking. "hey!" kyda yelled and then she felt a sharp pain as her hands were whacked. it was the mean one, he had just been waiting for her to say something. she lunged at him "you jerk!" she yanked him by the collar and pulled him fast and hard to her door his face slamming into her cell. guards ran over and pulled him off of her. she slunk back into her her cell with a smile on her face.
"now i've done something." she said and held her chin up .
