There’s nothing more disappointing than having a “hen” that you find out is a rooster at about ~10 months old.

That was my JG roo. He looked so girly for a long time, and he was supposed to be a pullet, but hatcheries aren't very good at sexing, I've had so many "pullet" roos it's ridiculous.

Mine was an Ayam Cemani “pullet”. I picked it out, looked like all the other hens, acted like a hen and everything. It was like 10-12 months old when it first started crowing, and alas, it was a rooster.
