Went to the local feed store today... broke the rules by holding the chicks and ducks... but no one saw me. I want ducks now!

Lol! That's funny! That's cool that you want ducks! what breeds of chickens and ducks did you hold?

Some meaties (white leghorns) and I don't know what breed the ducks were. But they were black and yellow.

Cool, I was going to get some ducks a couple years ago and we where planning on getting 2 and we couldn't because of the law that you have to get 6. And I got mad since I really wanted some. Also we almost got 6 this year but one of the workers said their mean after their a year old. I don't know if that's true but I would look into it because I've heard here on byc that someone's duck attacked their chickens and killed their rooster. I hope the worker is wrong about that. But that's cool that you held some leghorns!

They were the fuzziest chickens I have ever held, probably cause they were the youngest.
I've heard some can get mean, but mostly the drakes (male ducks) can get mean. I've heard ganders (male geese) are TERRIBLE. Probably if you raise them right they wont get mean.
