Generally the highest temp. we get is 115- 90 degrees. So hot you could fry an egg on the sidewalk!

That's cool! In the summer we only get up to 90 degrees.

The funny thing is that the watermelons get cooked. Literally cooked. They turn yellow if they stay out in the sun. I have to have all my vining plants like watermelon, squash, pumpkins, ect. under shade trees. Do you garden?

Yes I like to garden. I grew 2 water melons last summer but they got eaten by my chickens.

My chickens got the rind of the watermelon. One of them tried to grab it to take it away but did a face plant in it

That's funny! When my chickens grab a whole piece of a watermelon I give them they get chased by the others. It's actually sort of funny seeing them chase each other.

Swedish flower hens, brahamas, and easter eggers. Those are some of my favorite breeds!

Cool, I have some Americanas who lay blue and green eggs. I guess you can call them Easter eggers.
