Chicken story about my sex link: The other red sex link I had was free ranging with the rest of the flock, and my dog (She is a hunting dog trained to catch ducks, pheasants, doves, ect, ) got loose and had her in her partially in her mouth.

Well Jameson (My dad named her after the whisky) stuck her foot up my dogs nose while I was running to the scene and Kota (my dog) dropped her that instant. It is so fully that my pullet would choose to stick her foot up a nose as a way to fight back!

She didn't lay for two days but then returned back to normal. I guess that's my funniest chicken story other than the one when my brahmas and easter egger playing 3 way tug-a-war with a cricket! @Hens rule

Thats funny!!! One of my dogs (Gus) attacks my hens to. In the summer Gus was carrying around one of my Americanas in his mouth. I meen like holding her whole body in his mouth. she is ok but she lost alot of feathers.

Also my other Red sex link Rosie she flew over my fence the day we got her from my nabors. We looked all over the naborhood but we could not find her. The next day someone gave her to us and said she was in their yard! Which meens she crossed the road!!!

she is sooooooooooo cute! My red sex link was attacked by hawk and I thought she would die, but shes alive!! And now she likes to sneak in to our garage looking for us!!
