The cool chicken chat thread!

Anyone hoping to incubate some eggs this spring? I'm planning to try and hatch a few khaki campbell ducks.:thumbsup

Yep, I got myself into the Easter Hatch-a-Long...planning on either incubating some coturnix quail eggs or some variety of chicken eggs. I am not 100% sure yet..it just depends what is available :)

I am gonna both buy chicks from TSC and incubate some of my flocks eggs, as well as some pheasant eggs. I am working on a breeding project to get extremely dark brown eggs. I think I am on the right track, but with genetics, you can never be sure.

Hey I bought my green house from there! $10 is a pretty good deal for a walk-in 8 shelf greenhouse.
Today and yesterday the garden was teeming with animals! (Besides my pooch) There was a moth that was hiding in my primrose, I was dead-heading the plant, and the moth crawled on me and FREAKED ME OUT!!!!!!

Then, I found a jack rabbit living in my yard, lizards chilling on my wall

and birds and butterfly's flutterin' around. Just flutterin' around. Does this one like to eat? (You will get that joke if you watch the comedian Brian Regan. http://www.cc.com/video-clips/yvvvnk/stand-up-brian-regan--butterflies (He's also a family-friendly comedian)) Then I scared, I swear thousands of insects out of my greenhouse and those creepy crawlies decided to fight back!

:lau Lol! I hate it when bugs craw on me! I'm glad my chickens get most of the bugs. The only good thing about winter is no bugs! That's cool that there's jack rabbits where you live! Here there's just rabbits. I'm glad it got alittle warmer. It's i think 12 degrees! Doesn't sound warm but it is! Sort of. Lol! :)
