Ive never had white rocks before but yes they are very friendly and they are good layers.

Ok I need some help. I got my new girls Friday. They are 8 weeks old today. I've been putting them to bed at 8:00pm and I get them up at 6:00am. When I go to put them to bed, they don't go in by themselves

I have to chase them around and pick them up and toss them in the coop. When will they start going in by themselves?!!! HELP

That's normal.

when my chickens where younger they had to learn to, and went to bed very late.
It depends on how dark it is at 8:00 where you are. Chickens learn to go to the coop eventually, it may take a week or 2 more. Pullets that young don't know to go to bed until it's very dark out but learn from the older chickens.
